About Us

We established SMB contracting in 2005 as a sole proprietorship. We incorporated in February of 2008 turning it into SMB Contracting Inc. We have always worked on a referral basis. If you keep doing good work then you will keep busy. The company is fully licensed and bonded in the province of Alberta and the city of Calgary and the city of Airdrie. SMB has its full Workers’ Compensation Board coverage and we have been a member of the Better Business Bureau of Calgary since November 2012. We have been working with all of the trades for almost the whole time that we have been established. We continue to grow as a company. Sean Bunting is the president and CEO of SMB Contracting Inc.

Sean Bunting grew up in the interior of British Columbia on a farm. That is where he learned the basics to construction. Sean moved around for football learning various trades and ended up in Calgary. This is where he stopped playing football and concentrated on growing a construction company. Now he works on making sure that jobs are done right.
